Cirrus Healthcare Products will celebrate two decades of company success in 2013 with the launch of a new line of AquaEars, the company announced Wednesday.

The soft silicone AquaEars ear plugs will now be available in a variety of licensed characters, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Disney and Hello Kitty.

NACDS emphasizes importance of Rx compounding amid congressional hearings on meningitis outbreak

Hearing loss more prevalent than previously thought

Nearly one-fifth of all Americans ages 12 years and older have hearing loss so severe that it may make communication difficult, according to a new study led by Johns Hopkins researchers and published in the Nov. 14 issue of the Archives of Internal Medicine.

Tinnitex is the first and only earplug to help relieve tinnitus, a condition that causes ringing in the ears, the company said. According to the Journal of Clinical Nursing, more than 50 million Americans suffer from tinnitus.
