JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Ethnic hair care brand Creme of Nature has added the Creme of Nature with Argan Oil no-lye relaxer to its portfolio of argan oil hair care products.

The product is available at mass-market retailers and beauty supply stores in October, and it joins the five Creme of Nature with Argan Oil moisture-enriched shine products that debuted earlier this summer.

PLEASANTON, Calif. Grocer Safeway has unveiled its new natural personal care line called In-Kind.

The In-Kind line is comprised of lotions, body washes, shampoos, conditioners, facial products and hand soaps. The formulas are free of parabens, sulfates and pesticides, according to the company. Furthermore, the products are made with more than  90% natural ingredients.

NEW YORK Ethnic hair care manufacturer Johnson Products Co. has announced the launch of its new touch-up relaxer system and maintenance line called Ultra Care.

The company also is using the launch of Ultra Care to lead the ethnic hair care market in producing an environmentally responsible product that uses eco-friendly resins and recyclable packaging.

Ultra Care is made with a moisture blend complex, which features a blend of castor, coconut and avocado oils to battle dryness and hair breakage.

Former brand president of L'Oreal USA's professional products division, Pat Parenty, will succeed Verhulst-Santos, effective in October, and will report to Frederic Roze, president and CEO of L'Oreal USA.

CINCINNATI Procter & Gamble's Head & Shoulders hair care brand is taking out a $1 million insurance policy on Pittsburgh Steelers safety and brand spokesman Troy Polamalu's trademark hair.

NEEDHAM, Mass. ARR Health Technologies scored a product placement for its LiceGuard products in the movie "The Switch," starring Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman, which debuted Friday.

 

"The Switch" grossed $8.1 million at the box office over the weekend.

 

In the movie, Jason Bateman's character is shown choosing LiceGuard SAFE lice egg remover shampoo to treat his child. There are several scenes where the product's distinctive yellow cap can be seen, the company stated in a press released issued Tuesday.
