MIAMI — Hair care company Boca Cosmetics Group has announced that its Zelo keratin hair straightening kit and hair gloss now are available at Navarro Discount Pharmacy.

The Zelo's Duo Keratin kit contains no formaldehydes. The one-application treatment with Zelo promises to last up to 12 weeks, depending on hair texture, and retails for $49.99.

In addition to Zelo's Duo Keratin kit, Navarro also carries Zelo’s Velvet hair gloss. The anti-frizz gloss is priced at $19.99.

The trend is evident in looking at sales of hair relaxer kits at food, drug and mass (excluding Walmart). According to SymphonyIRI Group, sales of hair relaxer kits slipped more than 7% for the 52 weeks ended Oct. 30.

Argan oil has been used by Moroccan and European women for centuries to preserve healthy skin and hair, remaining relatively unknown in the United States until 2009, when variants of the oil made only for hair became a trend in the hair care industry.

Zinn Beauty retails for between $24.99 and $29.99.
