ATLANTA — Hair accessories brand Goody is gearing up for the holidays with its Luxe line of hair accessories, which will feature new styles and designs for the holidays.

The Luxe collection is comprised of four styles: Vine, Deco, Antique and Starburst.  They range from classic to modern and capture the crisp, sleek lines of art deco, the charm and romance of vintage jewels, the whimsy and light of the constellations and the flourishing expressions of vines and blooms.

Earlier this year, Prestige Brands closed the deal on its acquisition of the analgesic Goody’s Powder. And while Goody’s may be characterized as a legacy brand, it is in no way a tired brand — for the 52 weeks ended April 15, sales of Goody’s Powder were up 1.2% to $15.8 million.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Earlier this year, Prestige Brands closed the deal on its acquisition of the analgesic Goody’s Powder. And while Goody’s may be characterized as a legacy brand, it is in no way a tired brand — for the 52 weeks ended April 15, sales of Goody’s Powder were up 1.2% to $15.8 million. ATLANTA — Goody has announced the creation of its new ThickFix line of hair accessories for women with full, voluminous hair.

This line features a variety of clips in different colors and sizes to allow women with heavier hair to style and experiment easily with different hair trends. According to Goody, studies showed that 67% of women with thick hair use hair accessories daily and 80% of women wear claw clips at least two to three times per week.

ATLANTA — Newell Rubbermaid, whose portfolio includes the hair accessories brand Goody, has announced that its president and CEO, Mark Ketchum, will retire later this year.

An executive recruiting firm has been retained to conduct an outside search for Ketchum's replacement and also to assist with the assessment of internal candidates, the company stated. To help ensure a smooth and transition, Ketchum plans to remain on the company¹s board through the spring of 2012.
