Pharmacy benefit manager Catamaran Corp. has opened a new "Center of Excellence" in downtown Indianapolis, the company said Thursday.

LISLE, Ill. — Pharmacy benefit manager Catamaran Corp. has opened a new "Center of Excellence" in downtown Indianapolis, the company said Thursday.

Catamaran announced the opening of the 13,000-square-foot center, which it said will support the services it will provide under the $60 million, six-year Medicaid contract with the Indiana state government, signed in October.

STAMFORD, Conn. — Drug maker Purdue Pharma and the National Community Pharmacists Association have introduced the latest version of a video designed to educate pharmacists and other pharmacy staff about pharmacy crime.

The video, part of RxPatrol, Purdue's broader initiative to combat pharmacy crime, launched on the initiative's website. Titled "RxPatrol Pharmacy Safety and Security," it is free of charge, and is part of the NCPA's Protect Your Pharmacy Now! initiative, which started in 2008.

A 40,000-sq.-ft. Marsh Supermarkets store will open in Indianapolis as part of a new $85 million development project, according to published reports.

INDIANAPOLIS — A 40,000-sq.-ft. Marsh Supermarkets store will open in Indianapolis as part of a new $85 million development project, according to published reports.

The store, which is slated to open next summer on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Center Street, is said to feature such amenities as an extensive deli, bakery, prepared meals and a wide selection of beer and wine.

The announcement was made by Indianapolis mayor Greg Ballard, Marsh president and CEO Joe Kelley, and Jerry Collins, president of Flaherty and Collins Properties, the site's developer.

Marsh Supermarkets CEO Frank Lazaran is leaving the company, according to published reports.

INDIANAPOLIS — Marsh Supermarkets CEO Frank Lazaran is leaving the company, according to published reports.

The Indianapolis Star reported Tuesday that Lazaran was leaving after having led the company — based in the Indianapolis suburb of Fishers, Ind. — for four years.

The original owners, the Marsh family, sold the chain to Florida-based Sun Capital Partners in 2006 for $325 million.
