HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — Red Carpet Manicure has announced the launch of Dazzling Gems, a collection of six gem-infused LED gel nail polishes.
 
Launching for awards season, the new collection — available at Ulta Beauty Stores — is produced with gemstones ranging from emeralds to opals that are certified by the Gemology Appraisal Laboratory, the company stated. It marks the first time the brand has made its gem-infused polishes available at retail. The polishes are each sold separately for $11.99.

NEW YORK — Ethnic beauty brand Black Opal has named Triveni Ravi as the winner of its 2013 True Beauty Model Search.

Chosen from more than 400 applicants and three finalists, 19-year-old Ravi is a nursing student from Los Angeles. Selected by a panel of judges from the beauty and entertainment fields; all applicants were evaluated based on essays, community service involvement, educational aspiration and a photo of themselves representing Black Opal's True Beauty.

News media reported that Tiffany filed suit against Issaquah, Wash.-based Costco in the Federal District Court in Manhattan.
