Nutrisystem on Thursday announced that in order to meet growing consumer demand for its Nutrisystem D 5-Day Jumpstart Weight Loss Kit, the company has ramped up production and will offer its product in 3,700 Walmart stores by the end of June.

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. — Nutrisystem on Thursday announced that in order to meet growing consumer demand for its Nutrisystem D 5-Day Jumpstart Weight Loss Kit, the company has ramped up production and will offer its product in 3,700 Walmart stores by the end of June.  

This new retail program for the Nutrisystem D weight loss kit and its expansion marks important progress in Nutrisystem's overall turnaround plan, led by CEO Dawn Zier. Nutrisystem D 5-day kits were first made available at retail earlier this year in 2,000 Walmart stores.

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. — Nutrisystem has launched its 5-Day Nutrisystem Jumpstart Your Weight Loss Kit at nearly 2,000 Walmart stores, the company said.

The kit includes 15 entrees with desserts, a free meal planner and program guide with access to free weight-loss counseling and can be purchased for $44.98.

McNeil's Infants' Tylenol SimpleMeasure includes a dosing syringe, which a parent or caregiver inserts into a protective cover, or “flow restrictor,” at the top of the bottle to measure the proper dose. In some cases, the flow restrictor was pushed into the bottle when inserting the syringe.

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. — McNeil Consumer Healthcare on Wednesday issued a voluntarily recall of certain lots of Motrin IB coated tablets from retailers. "This is not a consumer-level recall, which means that consumers do not need to dispose of or return the product," McNeil stated. 

McNeil is recalling these products because testing of product samples showed that some caplets may not dissolve as quickly as intended when nearing their expiration date.

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. — Adflow Health Networks is planning to provide biometric screening kiosks in Rite Aid stores, the company said.

The two companies have signed an agreement whereby Adflow will install its Personal Health Centers in all of the retailer's nearly 4,700 stores around the country. The kiosks measure blood pressure and also customize the user's experience based on screen views, tests taken, test results, historical results, age and gender and other data sets.

McNeil Consumer Healthcare on Tuesday initiated another recall at the retail level of one product lot (60,912 bottles) of Tylenol extra strength caplets in 225-count bottles because of a small number of odor reports, including a musty, moldy odor.

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. — McNeil Consumer Healthcare on Tuesday initiated another recall at the retail level of one product lot (60,912 bottles) of Tylenol extra strength caplets in 225-count bottles because of a small number of odor reports, including a musty, moldy odor.

The uncharacteristic musty, moldy odor has been linked to the presence of trace amounts of a chemical known as 2,4,6-tribromoanisole (TBA).

The product lot number (ABA619) for the recalled product can be found on the side of the bottle label. The recalled product was manufactured in February 2009.

“McNeil is taking this action as part of our ongoing surveillance and monitoring efforts that identified a small number of complaints of a musty or moldy odor,” the company stated, specifically referencing only the Tylenol 8 Hour recall. The lot number found on the label on the side of the bottle is ADM074; UPC Code 300450297181.

McNeil Consumer initiated the recall because some of these products may not meet required quality standards, though no adverse medical events have been reported, the company stated. “However, as a precautionary measure, parents and caregivers should not administer these products to their children.”
