MILAN and ATLANTA — Illy issimo has introduced two new ready-to-drink coffee-based beverages.

The caffè no sugar and mochaccino flavors were developed through a collaboration between Illycaffè and Coca-Cola. Caffè no sugar offers a 15-calorie, unsweetened version of the full-bodied blend in caffè, while 100-calories-per-can mochaccino offers coffee sweetened with Domori chocolate.

ATLANTA — Coca-Cola is celebrating its 125th anniversary with a new 1.25-liter package.

The new package for the iconic soft drink is hitting store shelves across the Southeast, with additional rollouts planned across the United States this summer. Additionally, a variety of other brands, including Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite and Fanta, also will be available in the new 1.25-liter bottle.

The 1.25-liter bottle will retail for less than $1, Coca-Cola said.

Limited-edition glass bottles of Heinz tomato ketchup will be available in a 14-oz. size for a suggested retail price of $1.99 at select retailers, including Walmart and Safeway, now through August, Heinz said Tuesday.

STAMFORD, Conn. — Nestle Waters North America has inked a deal to acquire the maker of Sweet Leaf and Tradewinds beverage brands.

Nestle Waters said its acquisition of Austin, Texas-based Sweet Leaf Tea Co. — which was founded in 1998 — is subject to applicable regulatory approval and satisfaction of other customary closing conditions. The deal will expand the company's beverage portfolio of bottled water to include high-quality iced teas, lemonades and juice drinks.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation has elected a Coca-Cola executive to its board of directors.

Diane Wallace will join the NACDS Foundation's board for a one-year term. Additionally, NACDS president and CEO Steve Anderson was elected to serve as chairman of the NACDS Foundation board of directors; Edith Rosato will serve as president; R. James Huber, NACDS EVP and CFO, will serve as treasurer; and Nicki Robins, NACDS assistant general counsel, will serve as secretary. All officers will serve a one-year term.

ISSAQUAH, Wash. — TalkingRain Beverage said it is bringing its Sparkling Ice brand to Kroger stores and the retailer's other supermarket banners.

Sparkling Ice will hit the shelves of Kroger, King Soopers, Ralphs, QFC, Fred Meyer, Frys, Dillons and Smith's across the country. Sparkling Ice, which blends together mountain spring water, fruit juice and carbonation, is available in orange mango, black raspberry, lemon lime, pomegranate berry, pink grapefruit and kiwi strawberry flavors, and in 17-oz. and 1-liter containers.

Purina One Beyond is crafted without wheat or corn, added fillers or artificial preservatives. The line includes two adult dog recipes: chicken and whole oat meal, and lamb and whole barley. The line also features two adult cat recipes: salmon and whole brown rice, and chicken and whole oat meal. Purina One Beyond dog recipes are available in 3-lb., 15-lb. and 26-lb. packages. BOULDER, Colo. — Boulder Canyon Natural Foods is rolling out a single-serve compostable package for its kettle chips in honor of Earth Day.

The Boulder Canyon compostable packaging is made from wood pulp sourced from plantations that have Forestry Stewardship Council or similar certification. The company said its new 2-oz. compostable bag is available with a suggested retail price of $1.29 per package.

NORWICH, N.Y. — Chobani has captured the U.S. yogurt market as the leading brand in the category, according to SymphonyIRI Group data.

The Greek yogurt brand surpassed such competitors as Yoplait and Dannon, according to SymphonyIRI’s InfoScan Review, which examined the last 12 weeks of sales, ended March 20, across food, drug and mass (excluding Walmart).

What's more, SymphonyIRI recently named Chobani as one of the most successful food and beverage consumer packaged goods brands of 2010.

The water brand said that its Baby Inside commercial will feature portraits of people wearing Evian's Baby Inside T-shirts, which are edited together in a flipbook-style commercial. Additionally, an interactive, user-generated version of the commercial will be released online at LetsBabyDance.evian.com and via an iPhone application, where users can become actors in the video.

ATLANTA — Coca-Cola has developed 100% recyclable display racks for use in U.S. grocery and convenience stores.

The new Give It Back racks are stand-alone units made of easily recyclable corrugated cardboard, Coca-Cola said. The soft drink giant said the merchandise displays expand its commitment to sustainability. The racks currently are being tested in select markets and are expected to become widely available in late 2011.

PLANO, Texas — Frito-Lay is spicing up its Doritos, Fritos and Ruffles brands with a zesty offering.

Each of the three chips brands now will include a Tapatio hot sauce-flavored product. All three Tapatio-flavored Frito-Lay products include a unique combination of red chili peppers, spices and a hint of garlic — the same ingredients used to create the original Tapatio hot sauce recipe.

New Tapatio-flavored Doritos, Fritos and Ruffles are available at select retailers for a suggested retail price of 99 cents each for small bags and $2.99 each for large bags.

Coca-Cola's 100% recyclable beverage packages have premiered on store shelves.

ATLANTA — Coca-Cola's 100% recyclable beverage packages have premiered on store shelves.

The company's Dasani and Odwalla brands' single-serving bottles now will feature PlantBottle packaging, which is touted as the first-ever fully recyclable plastic beverage bottle produced using plants.

Coca-Cola said that in 2010, more than 2.5 billion PlantBottle packages were available across nine countries. For 2011, that number is expected to double to more than 5 billion PlantBottle packages in more than 15 countries.

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — An ice cream brand making its U.S. debut is at the forefront of a three-part film series starring actress Rachel Bilson.

Magnum, a 20-year-old Unilever brand, said the films were directed by fashion guru Karl Lagerfeld and are a platform to introduce the premium ice cream products to U.S. consumers. The films, which will debut at the Tribeca Flm Festival, also can be viewed on the brand's Facebook page next month.
