Anheuser-Busch is continuing to blur the line between beer and cocktails. The brewer’s latest addition to the popular Ritas family is Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Rita, a limited-edition winter offering.

The brewer’s latest addition to the popular Ritas family is Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Rita, a limited-edition winter offering. Cran-Brrr-Rita hits store shelves in November, and will be available in 12-packs, 8-oz. cans and 25-oz. cans. Straw-Ber-Rita has been a huge hit this summer and is the largest share gainer in the beer industry this year, according to A-B.

Higher-end products are where the beer category is headed.

The specialty segment, which includes such super-premium brands as Blue Moon, Shock Top and Land Shark, has been strong with volume sales ahead 13% and dollar sales up 15% for the 52 week period ended June 30.

Higher-end products are where the beer category is headed. “We’re seeing a lot of high-end segments continuing to steer the ship,” said Dan Wandel, SVP at IRI. “We’re seeing higher-priced products driving the category.”

In its first flavor innovation since 2005, Sprite is launching all-new flavor Sprite Cranberry and Sprite Cranberry Zero.

ATLANTA — In its first flavor innovation since 2005, Sprite is launching all-new flavor Sprite Cranberry and Sprite Cranberry Zero.

The new products will be available for a limited time through the holidays. Both products take the taste of traditional Sprite and combine it with a splash of sweet and tart cranberry notes.

PepsiCo's Quaker division has introduced a new version of its Quaker Real Medleys product, the company said.

NEW YORK — PepsiCo's Quaker division has introduced a new version of its Quaker Real Medleys product, the company said.

Quaker announced the launch of Real Medleys Bars, featuring flavor combinations similar to the ones found in Real Medleys cups. Like the cups, the bars feature such fruits and nuts as cherries, apples, cranberries, peaches, pistachios, walnuts and almonds.

The bars are available in boxes of five bars. The company calls Real Medleys its most innovative product in 40 years.

Independent brewer Craft Brew Alliance gave Safeway one of its Retailer of the Year awards at its inaugural annual conference for beer wholesalers in Las Vegas earlier this week, the company said.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Independent brewer Craft Brew Alliance gave Safeway one of its Retailer of the Year awards at its inaugural annual conference for beer wholesalers in Las Vegas earlier this week, the company said.

CBA said the Retailer of the Year Awards recognize retailers that have contributed to the company's sales growth and demand for its products. Safeway was named the off-premise retailer of the year, while restaurant chain Buffalo Wild Wings was named on-premise retailer of the year.

A new line of juice drinks from Campbell Soup includes a boost of nutrition, but lower calories and less sugar than most others.

CAMDEN, N.J. — A new line of juice drinks from Campbell includes a boost of nutrition, but lower calories and less sugar than most others.

Campbell announced the launch of V8 V-Fusion Refreshers, available in peach strawberry, black cherry berry, cranberry grape and tangerine passionfruit flavors.

The drinks contain 100 calories per serving, are naturally sweetened with no high fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors or preservatives and provide 100% of the daily value of vitamin C. The drinks also contain 20% to 25% fruit and vegetable juice.

ATLANTA — The Coca-Cola Co. is releasing a limited-edition version of Diet Coke in cans inspired by pop singer Taylor Swift, the company said.

Coca-Cola said the Diet Coke Taylor Swift can six-pack would be on beverage aisles nationwide this month and next month. Each 12-oz. can has a special, slim design and is adorned in handwritten style with a Swift quotation: "If you're lucky enough to be different, don't ever change." The collector's edition can is part of Coca-Cola's multi-year partnership with Swift.

HERSHEY, Pa. — Hershey is releasing small-sized versions of several candy brands in time for Halloween, the chocolate maker said.

Hershey said the new snack-sized candies included Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Minis, Rolo Caramels in Milk Chocolate and Jolly Rancher Caramel Apple Flavor Lollipops. The company also highlighted the Cadbury Screme Egg candy with green yolk, Reese's Peanut Butter Pumpkin and Kit Kat Halloween Bar, as well as Hershey's Kisses with a pumpkin spice flavor and Kisses Acorn Treats.

The candy maker announced the release of its latest line, which includes Snickers peanut butter pumpkin-based singles, as well as jack-o-lantern-shaped Snickers-brand pumpkin, available in two packs. Yankee Candle Co. has introduced its collection of scented, Thanksgiving-themed candles, the company said Monday. For each candle sold, $1 will be donated to the USO.

Yankee announced the launch of the Thanksgiving Dinner Collection, which includes such fragrances as Turkey with Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce and Sweet Potato Pie. For each candle sold, $1 will be donated to the USO. The donations will take place between Sept. 30 and Oct. 31, and will support the USO's Holiday Box program for military personnel stationed overseas.

SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets on Monday announced company president and CEO David Hepfinger has left the company to pursue other interests. Weis vice chairman Jonathan Weis replaces him as interim CEO.  Robert Weis remains as company chairman.
