ORLANDO, Fla. — Bayer HealthCare LLC Animal Health division on Wednesday launched eight flea and tick treatments and control solutions, which are to be sold at pet specialty retail stores. The announcement was made at Global Pet Expo, the pet industry's largest annual trade show.

Four of the new products — Advantage Treatment Spray for dogs, Advantage Treatment Spray for cats, Advantage Treatment Shampoo for dogs and Advantage Treatment Shampoo for cats — aim to give pet owners an array of options for pest treatment.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Walmart, the Walmart Foundation and the United States Conference of Mayors have launched the $10 million Walmart U.S. Manufacturing Innovation Fund.

Eligible non-profit organizations can apply for grants of $100,000 or more, funded by the Walmart Foundation, to help create solutions to challenges many companies face with on-shoring and growing U.S. manufacturing.

During introductory remarks at IRI’s annual summit, Appel shared with the more than 1,000 attendees gathered in Orland details of a huge data sharing partnership between IRI, comScore and Rentrak.

“Far and away, this is the biggest innovation IRI has done in the past 15 years,” Appel said.

LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix sales for the fiscal year ended Dec. 28, 2013 were $28.9 billion, a 5.2% increase. Comparable-store sales for 2013 increased 3.6%. 

Publix's sales for the fourth quarter of 2013 totaled $7.4 billion, a 5.3% increase, the grocer reported Monday. Comparable-store sales for the fourth quarter of 2013 increased 4.3%.
