FLINT, Mich. — Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy is among several Flint, Mich.-area companies that have signed on to a council to support a local business that makes scrubs and is interested in expanding beyond traditional markets.

NEW YORK — Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy is looking to hire more veterans following an economic summit at the White House attended by CEO Phil Hagerman, according to published reports.

According to local media in Michigan, Hagerman brought up the idea after the summit, saying the "plight of unemployed veterans" was one of the takeaways from the event.

FLINT, Mich. — For the last several years, Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy has been widely recognized as one of the top privately owned companies in the country, but now it's aiming even higher.

President and co-founder Phil Hagerman told the Flint, Mich., Journal that Diplomat is hoping to earn $1 billion in revenues next year. The company is expected to have more than $800 million in revenues this year.

FLINT, Mich. Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy has promoted Steven Miesowicz to VP human resources, planning and government relations, the company said Monday.

Miesowicz previously served as the company’s senior director for human resources and as a business management consultant. He had a large role in securing the Michigan Economic Growth Authority tax credit that the company received in connection with the relocation to its new Flint, Mich., headquarters.
