Duane Reade stores will offer Belli's Complexion Protection Duo — Belli's acne clearing facial wash and anti-chloasma facial sunscreen — to help protect skin from breakouts and uneven skin tone. The product set, valued at $46, will be offered at Duane Reade for $39.99. The product set will be merchandised in the expecting and new mom section of the baby aisle.

BETHEL, Conn. — A new line of mosquito-repelling candles is slated to make its nationwide debut.

Bite-Lite said its candles feature a proprietary blend of essential oils that works by attacking the mosquito's sensors, which wards off the biting insects. Bite-Lite's candles will be available as luminaries, soy jars, soy tins and votives.

The company said that its new mosquito-repelling candle line will be presented at the National Hardware Show this week. Bite-Lite candles will be sold by retailers across the United States and on the Bite-Lite website.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Catalina Marketing announced this week the departure of its chairman and CEO Dick Buell.

Replacing Buell, who was part of the Catalina team since 2004, is former Catalina CEO and co-founder George Off, who was voted by the board of directors to serve as interim CEO.

During Buell's tenure, Catalina, which has been placing emphasis on its digital couponing business, launched its Coupon Network by Catalina last month. Prior to that, the company acquired E-centives and Collabrys, two digital couponing businesses from Invenda, last spring.

Sanofi Pasteur announced the FDA approval of Fluzone Intradermal (influenza virus vaccine), which injects the vaccine into the skin via a short, fine needle, also known as a microinjection.

For the fiscal year ended Feb. 28, net revenue in the personal care division increased 9.4% to $491 million, compared with $449 million in the year-ago period.

For the fourth quarter, the segment posted net revenue of $113 million, up 11%, compared with $102 million in the year-ago period.

Cypress announced the launch of epinastine hydrochloride ophthalmic solution 0.05%, a generic version of Elestat; BI owns the trademark to Elestat and licenses rights to the drug to Allergan. Elestat is used to relieve itching of the eyes resulting from allergic conjunctivitis.

HAYWARD, Calif. — Alza Corp. is attempting to block Impax Labs from developing a generic version of Alza's attention deficit hyperactivity disorder treatment.

Impax confirmed that Alza filed a patent infringement suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware against the generic drug maker in connection with Concerta (methylphenidate hydrochloride) extended-release tablets in the 18-mg, 27-mg and 36-mg strengths, which is designed to treat ADHD in children ages 6 years and older, adolescents and adults up to the age of 65 years.
