However, in a smaller group of women who had experienced a single recent pregnancy loss, aspirin increased the likelihood of becoming pregnant and having a live birth.

Sasmar announced Friday the FDA approval of Conceive Plus, described as an isotonic, fertility-friendly personal lubricant that helps increase a woman's chances of getting pregnant naturally. A study published on bmj.com this week found that taking iron daily during pregnancy is associated with a significant increase in birth weight and a reduction in risk of low birth weight.

BOSTON — A study published on BMJ.com this week found that taking iron daily during pregnancy is associated with a significant increase in birth weight and a reduction in risk of low birth weight in babies.

The effects were seen for iron doses up to 66 mg per day. The World Health Organization currently recommends a dose of 60 mg per day for pregnant women.

BOSTON — According to a report in the December 2010 issue of the Harvard Health Letter, Americans are maintaining intimacy through their 60s, 70s and even 80s.

The article summed up findings from two surveys investigating intimacy health in older Americans. Indiana University researchers reported earlier this year that 20% to 30% of long-lived Americans are active into their 80s. And a University of Chicago survey originally published in 2007 found that half of Americans continue to engage well into their 70s.
