According to Mintel, 58% of men ages 18 years to 24 years and 63% of men ages 25 years to 34 years report that they use a facial moisturizing product.

This is in stark contrast to the 32% of those ages 55 years to 64 years and 29% of men older than 65 years from other age demographics claiming to do the same thing.

This is a significant jump from the 18- to 24-year-old age group where only 19% of women feel anti-aging is important.

PARIS — French beauty brand L’Oréal is looking to acquire China’s Magic Holdings International, which specializes in cosmetic facials masks, for $840 million.

The proposed price is 6.30 Hong Kong dollars per share. L’Oréal’s proposal is supported by Magic’s board of directors. The transaction is subject to the approval of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China.

BB creams are relatively new, multifunctional products that combine the functionality of primers, SPF and moisturizers, along with the anti-aging benefits of skin serums. In the 12 months ended in March, BB creams sold in U.S. department stores generated close to $9 million, according to NPD.
