Sweets & Snacks Expo to feature international attendees

A show devoted to snack food is expected to draw suppliers from 22 countries when it kicks off in May, the show's sponsoring organization said.

WASHINGTON — A show devoted to snack food is expected to draw suppliers from 22 countries when it kicks off in May, the show's sponsoring organization said.

The 2013 Sweets & Snacks Expo, which will take place May 21-23 at Chicago's McCormick Place, is expected to be the most successful in the event's 16-year history, with a nearly sold-out show floor, according to the National Confectioners Association.

CDMA to bring 2013 Trade Expo to Atlanta in February

The Chain Drug Marketing Association on Wednesday announced its 87th Annual Trade Expo will take place Feb. 19-22 at the Hilton Atlanta in Atlanta.

NOVI, Mich. — The Chain Drug Marketing Association on Wednesday announced its 87th Annual Trade Expo will take place Feb. 19 to 22 at the Hilton Atlanta in Atlanta.

A “Lunch and Learn” for buyers is planned with Bruce Kneeland, of Epicor Software Solutions, speaking about “How successful Pharmacy Owners use the Front-End to Build Sales and Improve Their Image."

CDMA is owned by more than 100 regional drug chains, independent pharmacies, regional drug wholesalers, specialty distributors and buying groups.

Walgreens makes strong showing at Black Women's Expo

Walgreens on Friday announced the pharmacy is hosting a Walgreens Pavilion at The Black Women’s Expo this weekend at McCormick Place.

NOVI, Mich. — A coalition owned by 125 regional drug chains, independent pharmacies, regional drug wholesalers and specialty distributors will host its annual trade expo next month at the Hilton Orlando in Orlando, Fla.

The Chain Drug Marketing Association said it will celebrate its 85th year of uniting suppliers with its members, allowing buyers to discuss business opportunities with exhibitors, meet and exchange ideas with other buyers and learn about new CDMA programs that can help to increase profitability in the front end of their stores.
