TAMPA, Fla. — The National Association of Specialty Pharmacy has appointed the leader of a cancer-focused specialty pharmacy to its board of directors.

The NASP announced Monday the appointment of Onco360 CEO Burt Zweigenhaft. Onco360 does business as OncoMed, The Oncology Pharmacy, and Zweigenhaft has served as CEO since 2007. The organization said that he had helped Onco360 grow from being a single pharmacy serving oncologists in the New York area to one of the fastest-growing pharmacies of its kind in the country.

VALLEY FORGE, Pa. — AmerisourceBergen on Thursday elected Lon Greenberg, 62, to its board of directors, effective immediately. Greenberg fills the vacancy created by Charles Cotros’s retirement from the board in February 2013. Greenberg also joined the audit and corporate responsibility committee and finance committee of the board. AmerisourceBergen's board of directors is currently comprised of 10 directors.

NEW YORK — Coty Inc., an emerging global leader in beauty, announced today that it has added Olivier Goudet , partner and chief executive officer of the Joh. A. Benckiser Group, to the company's board of directors.

Goudet replaces Bernd Beetz, who stepped down from Coty's Board to pursue other interests. JAB is a privately held group that owns and invests in premium brands; it is also Coty's majority shareholder.

CINCINNATI — Kroger on Tuesday announced two finance executive promotions that will be effective with their elections by Kroger's board of directors expected on June 27. Scott Henderson has been named VP pension investment and strategy and Todd Foley has been named VP and treasurer. 

Henderson, 57, currently serves as Kroger's VP and treasurer, a position he has held since 2003. He will lead a new team that is responsible for overseeing nearly $12 billion of assets.

BRUSSELS, Belgium — Belgian international food retailer Delhaize Group, whose U.S. banners include Hannaford, Sweetbay and Food Lion, has announced that president and CEO Pierre-Olivier Beckers intends to retire from his executive role by the end of this year.
 
As part of Delhaize’s succession plan, Beckers will stay in his post until a new CEO is appointed and a smooth transition has taken place, the company stated. He will continue to serve on the board, in a nonexecutive capacity, after stepping down as CEO.

LANGLEY, British Columbia — Pharmasave Drugs, which has more than 475 community retail pharmacies across Canada, has appointed Carmen Churcott as CEO, effective May 1.

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. — Hain Celestial Group, the company that makes Celestial Seasonings tea and other products, has purchased organic baby food company Ella's Kitchen Group, the company said.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the company said Ella's had $70 million in sales last year. The company markets its products in the United States, United Kingdom and Scandinavia, offering 80 products for babies, toddlers and small children. In addition, Ella's founder Paul Lindley will become CEO of Hain Celestial US's new Global Infant, Toddler and Kids Division.

MINNEAPOLIS — Supervalu has appointed Rite Aid president, chairman and CEO John Standley to its board of directors, the supermarket operator said.

The company also announced the appointment of Cerberus Capital Management COO and general counsel Mark Neporent.

TAMPA, Fla. — Fairview Pharmacy Services director of business development Thomas Blissenbach has been appointed to the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy's board of directors, the NASP said.

Blissenbach has worked in hospital and alternative-site pharmacy for more than 40 years and has developed and led several ambulatory pharmacy business units since joining Fairview in 2000.

LINTHICUM, Md. — Care Pharmacies Cooperative on Thursday announced that two of its member owners have recently been recognized for their individual contributions to pharmacy retailing. 

ARLINGTON, Va. — Today, the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation announced the election of five new members to its board of directors. Victor Curtis, SVP pharmacy of Costco Wholesale; Jon Giacomin, president of U.S. pharmaceutical distribution for the pharmaceutical group of Cardinal Health; John Poulin, director of professional relations of Lilly USA; Todd Tillemans, president of customer development at Unilever; and Richard Tremonte, VP sales and marketing of the U.S.

NEW YORK — Rite Aid board member Michel Coutu has resigned, effective Wednesday, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Coutu's notification follows an announcement by The Jean Coutu Group Tuesday that it had sold 72.5 million Rite Aid shares, reducing its stake in the company to 11.7%.

In addition, board member and former chairman Mary Sammons notified the company Wednesday that she wouldn't seek reelection as a director at its annual shareholder meeting.
