Consumers shopping this Black Friday will spend in a “mindful manner" ...

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. Consumers shopping this Black Friday will spend in a “mindful manner,” according to a new Nielsen survey.

While 1-in-5 Americans confirmed they will shop on Black Friday, 61% of those surveyed said that they only planned to spend $100 to $500, and 60% of those surveyed will be armed with a shopping list. Other findings included:

  • Of the 19% of Americans planning to shop Black Friday, 10% will be shopping Black Friday for the first time;

ATLANTA —National hardware chain The Home Depot is selling energy-efficient LED bulbs that are affordable and fit in a standard socket.

The chain is selling the bulbs for $19.97 under the EcoSmart brand. By comparison, 60-watt and 100-watt LED bulbs sold for $90 and $360, respectively, just two years ago. The new bulbs, manufactured by Lighting Science Group, available online and will be available in all of Home Depot’s U.S. stores by the end of the month.

As previously reported by Drug Store News, new Gain dishwashing liquid and an expanded Febreze with Gain collection now are available at stores nationwide. Gain dishwashing liquid is the first dish brand to be launched by Procter & Gamble in 37 years, the company said, while the Febreze with Gain original scent will include fabric refresher, Air Effects, candles and Noticeables.

The Dry-All wet cellular phone emergency kit dries out wet cell phones in 48 hours using the company’s dehumidifying technology.
