ALLEGAN, Mich. Perrigo on Friday welcomed Ryan McLaughlin as an associate category manager on the company’s nutrition business team. McLaughlin will work closely with the company’s customer business managers and the Perrigo South Carolina nutrition team to connect with store-brand-vitamin consumers, support customers and drive Perrigo’s nutrition business, the company stated.

 

McLaughlin joined Perrigo in December 2007 as a supervisor of the supply planning process, supporting both over-the-counter and nutrition products.

CINCINNATI "Innovation that truly improves people's lives is more important than ever," Procter & Gamble's chairman, president and CEO Bob McDonald said to company shareholders at its annual meeting.

Commenting on its "purpose-inspired" growth strategy, McDonald said that while significant opportunties for improvement lay ahead, P&G continues to see growth; organic sales grew 3%, core earnings per share rose 6% and adjusted free cash flow was 125% of net earnings for the last fiscal year ended June 30.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. The Food and Drug Administration has approved a nonstimulant drug for treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

 

Shionogi announced Monday the approval of Kapvay (clonidine hydrochloride), an extended-release drug for treating ADHD in children and adolescents ages 6 to 17 years. The company said Kapvay was the only formulation of clonidine hydrochloride approved for treating ADHD and the first ADHD treatment approved for use as an add-on therapy to stimulant drugs.

Annie's Root 4 Kids campaign seeks to get 1 million children to learn about and plant vegetables now through next year's harvest, the company said.
