ALLENDALE, N.J. — The Promotion in Motion Cos., makers of Welch's Fruit Snacks, announced the launch of Welch's PB&J Snacks, which combines the tastes of peanut butter and jelly in one treat. 

The bite-sized snacks have a chewy center made with real fruit, which is surrounded by a peanut butter coating. Snackers can choose from four varieties: Concord Grape or Strawberry center and creamy or crunch peanut butter outside.

 FISHERS, Ind. — Funky Monkey Snacks last week announced it has gained distribution at nearly all Walmart supercenters and Walmart discount stores in the United States. By early June, Funky Monkey Snacks varieties Bananamon and Carnaval Mix could be found in the dried fruit section of the Walmart snack food aisle at more than 3,700 stores.

Made of 100% real fruit, the crunchy snacks are nutritionally equivalent to their fresh counterparts, the company noted, and contain no added sugar, preservatives, colors or flavors.

The company said its Exotic GojiWater line, made with real goji berry juice, are lightly sweetened with cane sugar and honey, and are free of artificial flavors and colors. Packaged in 8.5-oz. recyclable bottles, the line includes goji berry juice and apple; goji berry juice and grape; goji berry juice and mangosteen; and goji berry juice and tropical fruit varieties.

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — Mars is extending its popular Dove brand with its new chocolate-covered raisins and peanuts mix. Dove’s new spin on the classic combination of taste and textures will hit retail shelves in April and is packaged in a standup pouch designed to enhance shelf presence.


The “hand-to-mouth” candy segment increasingly is popular with consumers. With $1.6 billion in sales annually, according to Mars, unwrapped bite-sized candy is emerging as a growth segment for manufacturers and retailers.

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — Dove is pairing its chocolate with a new bite-sized candy that combines taste and texture.

New Dove chocolate-covered raisins and peanuts is the latest "hand to mouth" candy from the brand, which will debut on store shelves this spring for a suggested retail price of $3.49 for a 5-oz. bag.

The launch will be supported by a creative, multifaceted marketing campaign, including print, broadcast, online/social media, consumer promotions, in-store and shopper marketing.
