ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The National Association of Chain Drug Stores has announced that this year's Marketplace Conference in Denver will feature a new interactive educational resource.

This year's NACDS Marketplace Conference will take place June 23 to 26 in Denver.

NACDS and technology solutions company Inmar, an NACDS associate member, will partner to launch the NACDS Marketplace Digital Learning Center to help retailers and suppliers gain an understanding of the importance of developing and implementing a cohesive digital strategy.

The mobile app, which is sponsored by the Emerson Group, offers a toolkit for conference attendees to enhance planning and the overall experience for the NACDS Marketplace Conference. This year’s NACDS Marketplace Conference will be held June 23 to 26 in Denver.

The conference, which will be held June 23 to 26 in Denver, Colo., will include educational and business opportunities for key retail decision makers to hold face-to-face meetings with their drug, food, mass and specialty retail suppliers.

Shoppers ages 50 to 54 years lead the charge when it comes to purchasing health and beauty products online (52%), and shoppers ages 45 to 49 years are purchasing more food and beverage products online (29%) than any other age group, according to The Checkout, an ongoing shopper behavior study conducted by The Integer Group and M/A/R/C Research, released Thursday.

DENVER — MusclePharm has introduced a sports nutrition supplements line through a licensing deal with MMA Elite of Ultimate Brand Management.

The line, MMA Elite Series powered by MusclePharm, includes pre-workout, recovery, vitamin, protein and fat-loss products. Such retailers as Walmart, Sam's Club and Walgreens are being targeted to distribute the supplements in third quarter 2011, MusclePharm said.

Many MusclePharm products currently are sold in GNC.
