NEW YORK — Coty Inc., an emerging global leader in beauty, announced today that it has added Olivier Goudet , partner and chief executive officer of the Joh. A. Benckiser Group, to the company's board of directors.

Goudet replaces Bernd Beetz, who stepped down from Coty's Board to pursue other interests. JAB is a privately held group that owns and invests in premium brands; it is also Coty's majority shareholder.

NEW YORK — Bernd Beetz, former CEO of Coty, has been appointed to the board of directors of Archetypes, a personal lifestyle company that was founded on the philosophy of archetypes.

NEW YORK — Coty has signed singer, songwriter and entertainer Katy Perry to develop and market her own line of signature fragrances. As part of the project, Coty will also distribute the artist's successful existing fragrance portfolio, comprised of Purr and Meow!, effective immediately.

Perry joins Coty's list of brands that include Calvin Klein, Chloe, Marc Jacobs and Playboy, among many others.

NEW YORK — Coty has announced the introduction of the new Adidas personal care line for men, which is available exclusively at Walmart.

The Adidas Personal Care for Men Collection is designed to keep up with the modern man’s active lifestyle and is available across four product segments:

Body wash ($3.47): The Adidas Hair & Body 3 provides triple-action results: It cleanses, refreshes and conditions. It is available in three After Sport, Extra Fresh and Active Start scents.

NEW YORK — Coty has filed to raise as much as $700 million in an initial public offering. The filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission comes about a month after the beauty company dropped its bid for Avon because of Avon’s “delay and unwillingness to engage in discussions.”

In the filing, Coty told the SEC that it intends to list the Class A common stock on either the NASDAQ or the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “COTY.” Coty did not reveal how many shares it plans to sell or their expected price.

NEW YORK — Beauty company Coty and DKMS, the world's largest bone marrow donor center, jointly raised $3.2 million to support the fight against blood cancer during the recently held DKMS 6th Annual Gala: Linked Against Blood Cancer.

The DKMS 6th Annual Gala: Linked Against Blood Cancer was held in late April at Cipriani Wall Street to a sold-out audience. The gala, hosted by Katharina Harf, chief inspiration officer of DKMS Americas, once again broke records of previous years, raising $3.2 million to support the fight against blood cancer.

NEW YORK — Avon, which recently rejected a bid from Coty, has ended its previously announced search for a new CEO by hiring former Johnson & Johnson executive Sheri McCoy to take the helm.

McCoy will assume her role as Avon CEO as of April 23. The appointment brings to a close a four-month search to replace CEO Andrea Jung. Jung will continue as chairman of the board.
