HDMA names 2012 DIANA recipients

The Healthcare Distribution Management Association on Tuesday honored 10 pharmaceutical and consumer product manufacturers through the presentation of its annual Distribution Management Awards for Notable Achievements in Healthcare, or DIANA. The winners were announced Monday evening at the Association’s 2012 Business and Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas.

"Our breakthrough foaming lotion technology offered the opportunity to reinvent our Water Babies and Oil Free products," stated Patricia Agin, fellow in skin care research and development at the Solar Research Center. "We continuously innovate to meet consumers' evolving needs for gentle protection in easy-to-use formulas."

NEW YORK Sun care brand Coppertone has developed an iPhone application to help consumers stay sun safe.

With the Coppertone MyUVAlert app, consumers can get local UV index forecasts, custom sunscreen reapplication reminders, individualized product recommendations, coupons and sun protection tips.

The custom reapplication reminders allow for more frequent reminders when swimming or sweating and can be set based on activity or personal preferences.
