NAPA, Calif. — Coastal Wine Brands has debuted a new California white wine blended with natural orange flavor.

Charonge, which debuted last month, the wine is zestily fruity with fresh orange blossom, peach/apricot and yellow plum aromas. On the palate, it delivers crisp, wonderfully refreshing orange, papaya and yellow apple flavors that are enlivened in the wine's long, snappy finish by a slight spritz, the company said.

Charonge carries a suggested retail price of $12 per bottle.

The Peapod Pick-Up service initially has been rolled out to a Stop & Shop store located in Abington, Mass. For a limited time, Peapod Pick-up will be offered free of charge ($2.95 value) and shoppers can choose a convenient one-hour pickup time between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Sunday through Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

According to the National Retail Federation and BIGinsight's 2012 "Back-to-School" survey, families with school and college-aged students as of Aug. 7 said they have more than half of their shopping lists to complete.

WASHINGTON — According to the National Retail Federation and BIGinsight's "2012 Back-to-School" survey, families with school and college-aged students as of Aug. 7 said they have more than half of their shopping lists to complete.

The average person with children in grades kindegarten through 12 has completed 40.1% of their shopping, while college shoppers and their families have completed slightly more at 45.3%.

Overall, school and college shoppers this year are expected to spend a total of $83.8 billion.

Shopko said Tom Abbott's new title is SVP product development/general merchandise manager of consumables. IBM's fifth annual "Online Retail Holiday Readiness" report has uncovered that 2012 may just be the year of mobile.

ARMONK, N.Y. — IBM's fifth annual "Online Retail Holiday Readiness" report has uncovered that 2012 may just be the year of mobile.

Based on data from more than 500 U.S. retailers, the report found that online mobile sales increased 88.8% in second quarter 2012, compared with year-ago period.

What's more, IBM is forecasting that mobile sales will reach 20% of total online holiday sales this holiday season, and that mobile traffic will close in on 25%.
