BOISE, Idaho — PakSense has launched a small device for monitoring the temperatures of medicines, the company said Monday.

PakSense said its BIOmed Label is about the size of a sugar packet and can be used to digitally monitor the temperatures of pharmaceuticals, biologics and vaccines during storage and distribution.

PepsiCo's G Series Fit line of Gatorade includes a pre-workout energy bar and a fruit-based protein drink, according to published reports. The line builds on the success of other lower-calorie Gatorade products, including the brand's G2 line.

 

G Series Fit is slated to hit retail shelves in April.

PEAPACK, N.J. The generics division of Pfizer will sell an authorized generic version of a drug used to treat dementia.

 

Greenstone said Wednesday that it had agreed with Eisai to launch donepezil hydrochloride tablets, an authorized generic of Aricept. The drug is used to treat dementia related to Alzheimer’s disease. Eisai makes the drug under a partnership with Pfizer.

PRINCETON, N.J. Novo Nordisk has launched a mobile dosing app for healthcare professionals that prescribe the drug maker's insulin products.

NovoDose, which is available for download on iTunes, allows physicians to select the type of insulin they want to research and review suggested guidelines for dosing, titration and even blood glucose goals for their patients. The app also provides important safety information on the products, and only those who self-identify as healthcare professionals can download the app.
