MORRISTOWN, N.J. — Bayer Healthcare on Friday partnered with Sheryl Crow in support of Feeding America for that group's "Nutrition Mission."

Through July 28, for every bottle of One-A-Day Women's purchased, Bayer will donate two meals, up to 2 million (valued at $500,000), to Feeding America.

CARLISLE, Pa. — Ahold USA's Giant-Carlisle banner raised nearly $600,000 for a hunger relief program in February and March, the supermarket chain said.

Giant-Carlisle said customers at Giant Food Stores and Martin's Food Markets donated $587,545 as part of the Bag Hunger campaign between Feb. 24 and March 9. Another campaign will take place in September.

The parent company of the Stop & Shop, Giant-Carlisle and Giant-Landover supermarket chains is donating $9 million over three years to alleviate child hunger.

CARLISLE, Pa. — The parent company of the Stop & Shop, Giant-Carlisle and Giant-Landover supermarket chains is donating $9 million over three years to alleviate child hunger.

Ahold USA said it would distribute the money in Fighting Child Hunger grants from its Our Family Foundation. The foundation has awarded grants to 21 regional food banks in areas served by the company's banners.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — During the fall 2012 checkout scanning campaign at 45 Wegmans stores in New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, eastern Pennsylvania, and the Greater Rochester region of New York, hunger relief donations totaled $1.4 million, Wegmans reported Wednesday. 

“We’re thankful for our customers and employees who step up to give in such a generous way,” stated Linda Lovejoy, Wegmans' community relations manager. “Their donations at checkout help reduce hunger that exists right in our own neighborhoods and communities.”

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. More than two-thirds of Americans are worried about losing their minds, according to a recent poll released Monday. Or rather, 69% of Americans are concerned about maintaining a healthy, active and sharp mind, the survey -- conducted by Opinion Research Corp. on behalf of Pharmavite -- found. Almost as many respondents (68%) reported having experienced some form of cognitive decline.
