IRVINGTON, N.Y. — Prestige Brands is sprucing up its portfolio with new Luden's and Chloraseptic products.

Luden's has introduced new Moisture Drops, which are designed to soothe the dryness and discomfort associated with dry mouths, while easing everyday throat irritations. The lozenge works with a unique "HydroAction" formula and is available in a kiwi-strawberry flavored lozenge. The new Luden's Moisture Drops are available in a 20-count bag at a suggested retail price of $1.79.

Prestige Brands will be adding 17 former GSK brands to its stable of legacy brands that already includes Luden’s and Dramamine. The company recently identified the five key GSK-acquired brands that Prestige will be focusing on in terms of both marketing support and new product development — BC, Goody’s, Debrox, Gaviscon and Beano.

Prestige Brands Holdings on Monday announced that it has completed the purchase of the two remaining brands of the 17 brands it agreed to acquire from GlaxoSmithKline; the purchase of Debrox ear wax remover and Gly-Oxide oral rinse completes the transaction.

IRVINGTON, N.Y. — Prestige Brands Holdings on Monday announced that it has completed the purchase of the two remaining brands of the 17 brands it agreed to acquire from GlaxoSmithKline; the purchase of Debrox ear wax remover and Gly-Oxide oral rinse completes the transaction.

For all 17 brands, Prestige paid a total of $660 million in cash plus a customary post-closing inventory adjustment under the original terms of the agreements.

IRVINGTON, N.Y. Prestige Brands credited the strength of its over-the-counter business model for its 20% increase in net income to $9.6 million for its first quarter ended June 30. Total revenues for the quarter reached $73.4 million, up 3%.

IRVINGTON, N.Y. Prestige Brands recently announced the introduction of a revamped line of Chloraseptic sore throat lozenges and Chloraseptic throat spray.

In addition to soothing sore throat pain, the lozenges help cool nasal passages and ease coughs, the company stated. The new lozenge includes cherry, citrus, honey lemon and green tea flavors.

 

The Chloraseptic lozenge line is available in 15- and 18-count packs with a suggested retail price of $3.99.
