PITTSBURGH StarKist is answering tuna lovers' prayers with new low-sodium tuna offerings in convenient Flavor Fresh pouches.

StarKist's new low-sodium tuna in Flavor Fresh pouches are available in two varieties: low-sodium chunk light tuna in water and low-sodium albacore tuna in water. The launch of the products is in line with the company's "Have You Been StarKist?" campaign.

BENSALEM, Pa. Zero Technologies' new filter pitcher has received a special certification from the Water Quality Association for the reduction of copper found in tap water.

WILMINGTON, Del. With September marked as National Cholesterol Education Month, drug maker AstraZeneca is using the occasion to push lifestyles that promote low cholesterol, the Anglo-Swedish company said.

AstraZeneca, which markets the cholesterol-lowering drug Crestor (rosuvastatin calcium), is pushing such habits as a healthy diet and exercise as ways to keep cholesterol down. According to the American Heart Association, 102 million Americans ages 20 years and older have borderline-high or high cholesterol.

CHICAGO Tropicana has expanded its Trop50 brand with a new flavor.

New Trop50 Farmstand Apple contains a crisp apple flavor with 50 calories per 8-oz. glass, a full day's supply of vitamin C and is a good source of antioxidant vitamin E. Starting in late August, the new Trop50 Farmstand Apple flavor now is available in 59-oz. containers for a suggested retail price of $3.59.

Trop50 is sold in stores nationwide.

SILVER SPRING, Md. —The Personal Care Products Council announced in July that it is working to create formal processes for the Food and Drug Administration to review ingredients of personal care products for safety at the request of the public and stakeholder groups, and to review all safety determinations made by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review expert panel.
