Boehringer-Ingelheim helped sponsor Team Walgreens/Team Tori to a tune greater than $1,000 for colon cancer research at the 2013 St. Louis Undy 5000, a family-friendly 5K run/walk created by the Colon Cancer Alliance. BI is a regular sponsor of Undy 5000 events under its Dulcolax brand.

ST. LOUIS — More than 90 runners signed on to join Team Walgreens/Team Tori last month at the 2013 St. Louis Undy 5000 in support of 24-year old Tori Riley. The team raised more than $1,000 in support, half contributed to the Colon Cancer Alliance and the other half to Team Tori, through T-shirt sales, raffles for Walgreens beauty bags and silent auctions that included St. Louis Cardinals tickets, among other items.

CHICAGO — Hitting retail shelves for spring is the new line of Gum Star Wars-branded toothbrushes from Sunstar Americas, in partnership with Lucasfilm.

The new toothbrushes are designed to encourage children to learn how to perfect their brushing skills. According to a national survey, a majority of dentists said that children don't brush long enough (90%) or properly (76%). However, nearly all dentists (99%) agree that making brushing fun, and the type of toothbrush used, can help motivate children to brush their teeth and establish healthy dental habits.

Lance is reaching out to cheese lovers with a new variety of Captain's Wafers.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Lance is reaching out to cheese lovers with a new variety of Captain's Wafers.

The company said that its latest Captain's Wafers product is a four-cheese blend of cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan and bleu cheese, paired with two baked crackers. The new four cheese Captain's Wafers replace the brand's smoke house cheddar variety.

Four cheese Captain's Wafers are sold in 8-count homepacks and are available at major grocery retailers and Walmart with a suggested retail of $2.99.
