MADISON, Wis. — Oscar Mayer is giving bacon lovers a reason to wake up early. The brand has unveiled the first-ever iOS device that wakes people up with the smell of bacon. The device, called Wake Up & Smell the Bacon, syncs with the Oscar Mayer Wake Up & Smell the Bacon iPhone app to emit the scent and sound of sizzling bacon when the rooster crows.

 NORTHFIELD, Ill. — Kraft will introduce more than 40 new products in 2013, the company stated. This is the first comprehensive new products launch since Kraft became an independent public company in October. In keeping with the company's initiative to offer consumers good, better and best choices, Kraft is using its iconic brands and successful new platforms to deliver innovation across multiple categories. While some new products are hitting store shelves now, others debut in early 2013.

LOS ANGELES — Quest Nutrition on Tuesday launched Quest Cravings Peanut Butter Cups, a high-protein chocolate candy with 20 g of protein per serving. 

The peanut butter cups are made with non-Dutch processed 100% chocolate rich in amino acids, containing no soy, trans fats or sugar. Suggested retail price is $27.99 for a box of 12 packages, with two cups per package.

In September, Quest Nutrition introduced the Cravings line exclusively to Facebook fans.

Kraft Foods is adding a vegetable to its popular Macaroni & Cheese dish.

NORTHFIELD, Ill. — Kraft Foods is adding a vegetable to its popular Macaroni & Cheese dish.

The brand's Kraft Dinner Smart line is made with a blend of cauliflower and wheat, and contains a one-half serving of veggies in every helping. Kraft said that the mild color and flavor of cauliflower allows it to taste "just like original Kraft Dinner."

The Macaroni & Cheese items are available in original and three-cheese varieties.
