NEENAH, Wis. — A company that makes packaging for manufacturers ranging from food companies to drug makers has received more than a dozen awards at a marketing exposition in Chicago.

Menasha Packaging announced that it won 13 Design of the Time Awards at the 2013 Shopper Marketing Expo, including three gold, two silver and eight bronze awards in the drug store, mass-merchandise, specialty and supermarket channels. The DOT Awards recognize creative in-store activation tactics and campaigns.

One of the bigger winners across the top 10 vendors is Reckitt Benckiser, which launched Cepacol Sensations this fall. The product line contains a lower amount of numbing medication than traditional Cepacol products, yet still provides either an instantly cooling, warming or refreshing sensation. Sales of all Reckitt Benckiser lozenges totaled $10.9 million, up 67.6%.

Reckitt Benckiser recently named Tiffany McLaud to the position of consumer healthcare marketing director.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Reckitt Benckiser recently named Tiffany McLaud to the position of consumer healthcare marketing director. McLaud joins RB from Pfizer Consumer Healthcare where she held a number of senior positions, most recently as senior director of U.S. dietary supplements.

As RB's healthcare marketing director, McLaud will oversee the company's healthcare portfolio, including Mucinex, Delsym and Cepacol.

Combe also announced the completion of its cough-cold and skin care businesses to the British conglomerate, along with its foot care brand Odor-Eaters to personal care company Blistex.

IRVINGTON, N.Y. Prestige Brands recently announced the introduction of a revamped line of Chloraseptic sore throat lozenges and Chloraseptic throat spray.

In addition to soothing sore throat pain, the lozenges help cool nasal passages and ease coughs, the company stated. The new lozenge includes cherry, citrus, honey lemon and green tea flavors.

 

The Chloraseptic lozenge line is available in 15- and 18-count packs with a suggested retail price of $3.99.
