ABBOTT PARK, Ill. Drug makers Abbott and Reata Pharmaceuticals have signed an agreement concerning a drug for chronic kidney disease.

 

The two companies said Thursday that they would develop and commercialize bardoxolone methyl, currently in mid-stage clinical trials.

BOTHELL, Wash. Biotech companies Seattle Genetics and Genmab will collaborate to develop antibody treatments for cancer, the two companies announced Tuesday.

 

Seattle Genetics, based in the Seattle suburb of Bothell, Wash., and Denmark-based Genmab will develop the treatments using Seattle Genetics’ antibody-drug conjugate technology. Seattle Genetics received an undisclosed upfront payment and will have the right to exercise a co-development option for any products at the end of early-stage clinical development.

PEAPACK, N.J. The generics division of Pfizer will sell an authorized generic version of a drug used to treat dementia.

 

Greenstone said Wednesday that it had agreed with Eisai to launch donepezil hydrochloride tablets, an authorized generic of Aricept. The drug is used to treat dementia related to Alzheimer’s disease. Eisai makes the drug under a partnership with Pfizer.

SILVER SPRING, Md. The Food and Drug Administration has approved the first generic version of a Sanofi-Aventis injected drug used to treat deep vein thrombosis, the agency said Friday.

 

The FDA approved generic enoxaparin sodium, a version of Sanofi’s Lovenox, developed under a collaboration between Momenta Pharmaceuticals and Sandoz, the generics division of Swiss drug maker Novartis.
