ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Wegmans in June will open The Pub at Wegmans, a full service restaurant and bar at their Allentown location, the company announced Thursday. Led by Executive Chef Geno Nosenzo and using the fresh ingredients sold on-site in the store, The Pub at Wegmans will serve an array of dishes that go beyond typical pub standards, as well as cocktails, wines by the bottle or glass and an extensive selection of craft beer.

Craft brewers saw a 15% rise in volume and a 17% increase in dollar growth, the Brewers Association said today as they released preliminary 2012 data on U.S. craft brewing growth ahead of the Craft Brewers Conference to be held in Washington, D.C., March 26 to 29.

The trade association representing small and independent American brewers estimated these findings represented a total barrel increase of almost 1.8 million.

BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Avery Brewing has tapped can manufacturer Ball to create unique packaging for Avery's brands.

The company said it partnered with Ball's Graphics Center of Excellence and utilized the latter's Eyeris Enhanced Graphics printing technique to create a 360-degree miniature billboard with every can for distinctive, on-the-shelf differentiation of Avery's brands, including India Pale Ale, White Rascal, Ellie's Brown Ale and Joe's Premium American Pilsner.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Seagram's has introduced a line of fruity malt beverages that now are available nationwide.

New Seagram's Smooth, available in classic lemonade, tea lemonade and mango, limeade and pomegranate lemon varieties, offers consumers premium flavored drinks with zero aftertaste, the company said.

Seagram’s Smooth has 5% alcohol by volume and is available in 12-count and 24-count variety packs.
