But while the iPad earned the top spot, consumer packaged goods also made their stake in this year's Most Memorable New Product Launch survey, which was conducted online by Schneider Associates, Sentient Decision Science and SymphonyIRI Group during October.

BOSTON — According to a report in the December 2010 issue of the Harvard Health Letter, Americans are maintaining intimacy through their 60s, 70s and even 80s.

The article summed up findings from two surveys investigating intimacy health in older Americans. Indiana University researchers reported earlier this year that 20% to 30% of long-lived Americans are active into their 80s. And a University of Chicago survey originally published in 2007 found that half of Americans continue to engage well into their 70s.

BOSTON — Johnson & Johnson recalled lots of its Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom liquid products due to insufficient labeling, the company said Wednesday.

The products are not being recalled due to reports of any adverse events associated with taking the product, the company added.

Earlier this week, the company recalled additional lots of millions of packages of Children's Benadryl and children's Motrin.

BOSTON Diabetes could partially be related to air pollution, according to a new study.

 

The study, conducted by researchers at Children’s Hospital Boston and published in this month’s issue of the journal Diabetes Care, found that diabetes in adults was consistently correlated with particulate air pollution even after adjusting for known risk factors, such as obesity and ethnicity.

BOSTON Close to 400 drugs and vaccines are in development for fighting infectious diseases, according to one of the pharmaceutical industry’s largest lobbying groups.

 

The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America announced Friday that drug makers have 395 new medicines and vaccines in clinical development or under review by the Food and Drug Administration. These include five vaccines and six drugs for malaria, as well as agents for infections like cholera, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and the Ebola virus.
