NEW YORK — PureBrands on Tuesday announced its national Facebook competition to search for the brand's next commercial for its Sheets Energy Strips, to be judged by brand partner LeBron James of the NBA.

Beginning Dec. 13, entrants will have 45 days to submit their creative take on Sheets' advertising campaign through the Sheets Facebook page, and the winning commercial will have their spot aired on national television and in movie theaters nationwide in 2012.

Sears Holdings is launching a Facebook page and a Twitter handle to address Latino consumers, the retailer said Wednesday.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — Sears Holdings is launching a Facebook page and a Twitter handle to address Latino consumers, the retailer said Wednesday.

Hoffman Estates, Ill.-based Sears Holdings, which operates the Sears department store chain and the Kmart mass-merchandise chain, announced the creation of Facebook.com/SearsLatino and, on Twitter, @SearsLatino.

Titled "The Operahhh of Irritations," the marketing event supported the Halls brand's spring allergy campaign and the brand's commitment to soothing irritations by giving the audience a chance to vent about whatever irritates them — and have that irritation sung away by professional opera singers.
