EL PASO, Texas — Helen of Troy — whose portfolio of personal care products includes Vidal Sassoon, Sure, Pert and Brut — has announced that its board has appointed CEO Julien Mininberg to serve on the board until the next annual meeting of shareholders.

Mininberg’s appointment fills the vacancy created by the departure of Gerald Rubin, the company’s former CEO and a former director of the company. The board intends to nominate Mininberg as a director of the company at the next annual general meeting of shareholders.

Ahold's shareholders approved the company's proposal to return €1 billion (US$1.4 billion) to shareholders by way of a capital repayment and reverse stock split.

ZAANDAM, the Netherlands — Ahold's shareholders on Tuesday approved the company's proposal to return €1 billion (US$1.4 billion) to shareholders by way of a capital repayment and reverse stock split.

 Shareholders voted at an extraordinary general meeting held at Ahold's headquarters. The meeting was attended by 65 shareholders, representing approximately 657 million votes.

McKesson on Wednesday announced preliminary voting results from its annual meeting of stockholders.

SAN FRANCISCO — McKesson on Wednesday announced preliminary voting results from its annual meeting of stockholders held here earlier. All board members were re-elected and all board vote recommendations were upheld, with the exception of the advisory vote on executive compensation and the shareholder proposal on the company’s compensation clawback policy.
