The National Association of Chain Drug Stores has announced that it will participate in the annual U.S. Senate Health Fair, which will take place on Oct. 11 to 12 in the U.S. Senate Office complex on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The National Association of Chain Drug Stores has announced that it will participate in the annual U.S. Senate Health Fair, which will take place on Oct. 11 to 12 in the U.S. Senate Office complex on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.  

The U.S. Senate Health Fair will offer thousands of Senate employees — including Hill staffers, Capitol Hill Police officers and other employees — an opportunity to receive healthcare advice and care, highlighting the essential role community pharmacy plays in the healthcare delivery system.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation has appointed Matthew Burriesci as director of development.  

Burriesci began his new role with the NACDS Foundation on Aug. 20 and reports directly to NACDS Foundation president Kathleen Jaeger.

The National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation on Thursday announced the 2012-2013 inaugural class for the foundation’s Faculty Scholars Program.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation on Thursday announced the 2012-2013 inaugural class for the foundation’s Faculty Scholars Program. 

Launched earlier this year, the Faculty Scholars Program is designed to educate assistant professors from U.S. schools and colleges of pharmacy about designing, implementing and publishing community-pharmacy-based patient care research. Educational programming was designed in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh, under the leadership of Melissa Somma McGivney.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The National Association of Chain Drug Stores has announced that this year's Marketplace Conference in Denver will feature a new interactive educational resource.

This year's NACDS Marketplace Conference will take place June 23 to 26 in Denver.

NACDS and technology solutions company Inmar, an NACDS associate member, will partner to launch the NACDS Marketplace Digital Learning Center to help retailers and suppliers gain an understanding of the importance of developing and implementing a cohesive digital strategy.

The mobile app, which is sponsored by the Emerson Group, offers a toolkit for conference attendees to enhance planning and the overall experience for the NACDS Marketplace Conference. This year’s NACDS Marketplace Conference will be held June 23 to 26 in Denver.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The National Association of Chain Drug Stores announced on Wednesday that there are 100 days until the commencement of the NACDS 2012 Marketplace Conference.

The National Association of Chain Drug Stores announced on Wednesday that it has joined other retail industry groups and companies in signing a letter to the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction, also known as the super committee, urging it to close a tax loophole to prevent harm to traditional brick-and-mortar retail businesses — including pharmacies — and to assist states in collecting $23 billion in uncollected state sales taxes that currently are due on Internet and catalog sales.
