Veet's newest hair removal products build on the belief that a groomed bikini line tops summer appearance must-haves among women, according to a survey conducted on the brand's behalf.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Veet's newest hair removal products build on the belief that a groomed bikini line tops summer appearance must-haves among women, according to a survey conducted on the brand's behalf.

The "2011 Veet Survey" found that among U.S. women ages 18 years and older, 74% of respondents said they believed a groomed bikini line is the No. 1 must-have this beach season, more so than having a toned body (17%). What's more, 83% of women said they would rather hit the beach 5 lbs. heavier than with a visibly ungroomed bikini line.

ST. LOUIS Energizer Holdings emerged as the winning bidder for American Safety Razor in bankruptcy court proceedings, inking a deal to buy substantially all of ASR’s assets for $301 million in cash and the assumption of certain liabilities.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval. Energizer is the parent company of Schick Wilkinson Sword, the second-largest manufacturer and marketer of men’s and women’s wet-shave products in the world.

LOS ANGELES A new national survey commissioned by Neutrogena Cosmetics suggested a trend toward a less "made up" look for American women. Women expected their cosmetics to deliver flawless skin and sun protection, above fashion-forward colors, according to the findings.

Executed by Harris Interactive, the survey explored the relationship American women have with their cosmetics. It was conducted online within the United States from Aug. 9 to 11, among 1,018 adult women ages 18 years and older.
