BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — World Care Products, a manufacturer and marketer of air care products, has teamed up with Church & Dwight as a licensee of the Arm & Hammer Brand for its new air care category.

New Arm & Hammer air care products are available in a variety of formats and fragrances to meet the consumers' needs. The Arm & Hammer branded products will include two different aerosol spray formats, solid gel cone, gel beads, two different scented candle formats, plug-in scented oil and decor scent gel refill, all available in five different scents.

Health care is evolving. As obvious of a statement as that is, it doesn’t change the fact that it is very real. Throughout last year, there was intense discussion on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and what impact the outcome of the presidential election might have on its future. Now that the Supreme Court has ruled and elections are settled, healthcare companies and providers across the country are implementing strategies to meet ACA requirements.

They say hindsight is 20/20. With the Supreme Court’s ruling on healthcare reform, the luxury of looking back shows that the National Association of Chain Drug Stores and allies took the right course to battle the pharmacy Medicaid cuts of the Deficit Reduction Act. What we learned should inspire pharmacy to remain tenacious in its continued advocacy on this issue and in confronting all other challenges.

Without the Office of the National Coordinator’s inclusion of the capability as a core measure, enabling physician technologies may not have taken off with such vigor. But where MU’s e-prescribing requirements — such as two-way transmissions, complete active medication lists and formulary information — leave off, real innovation — characterized by real-time transactions, automated requests and responses, and Intelligent Routing like Emdeon provides — begins with many valuable benefits for providers, pharmacies and patients.

The Emdeon team always looks forward to the NCPDP Annual Conference. The 2012 version is coming up in early May at the Arizona Biltmore. As expected, NCPDP has done an excellent job in scheduling a large number of important and interesting topics. Emdeon’s Lathe Bigler will be discussing the impact of health information exchanges (HIEs) and accountable care organizations (ACOs) on our industry, and I am scheduled to talk about the industry’s observations and lessons learned regarding the implementation of D.0.

Procter & Gamble unveiled a larger than expected cost-savings program that involves cutting a total of 5,700 nonmanufacturing jobs in an effort to trim costs by the end of fiscal 2016, said P&G CEO Bob McDonald during the company’s annual Consumer Analyst Group of New York conference in Boca Raton, Fla.

CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble unveiled a larger than expected cost-savings program that involves cutting a total of 5,700 nonmanufacturing jobs in an effort to trim costs by the end of fiscal 2016, said P&G CEO Bob McDonald during the company’s annual Consumer Analyst Group of New York conference in Boca Raton, Fla.

According to published reports, the cuts represent about 10% of P&G’s nonmanufacturing jobs. P&G has about 57,000 nonmanufacturing employees among its total workforce of about 129,000.
