RxPatrol joins Twitterverse
STAMFORD, Conn. A crime prevention program developed by drug maker Purdue Pharma is launching a page on Twitter.
Purdue announced the creation of a Twitter page for RxPatrol at Twitter.com/RxPatrol. The page will allow pharmacy staff, police and others to follow updates about pharmacy robberies, burglaries and threats in their areas and nationwide. The RxPatrol program tracks and analyzes reports of pharmacy crime in the United States and posts information on its website, Rxpatrol.org.
“Pharmacy crime is a problem in many communities,” RxPatrol program coordinator Richard Conklin said. “RxPatrol is using new communication vehicles to help pharmacy staff and law enforcement fight pharmacy crime.”
