New initiative for GNP's Mike Quick: Expand independent pharmacy base
VALLEY FORGE, Pa. — Good Neighbor Pharmacy, a network of more than 3,700 independently owned and operated community pharmacies, on Wednesday announced the creation of a new position, with Mike Quick named as national VP, GNP development.
Quick will be responsible for securing new business and retaining existing customers through the expansion of Good Neighbor Pharmacy throughout the United States and Canada by facilitating acquisitions, ownership transfers, expansions and startups of independent pharmacies and small- to medium-size chains, with the goals of preserving and growing business through expanding the Good Neighbor Pharmacy membership.
Quick was part of the team that created the Good Neighbor Pharmacy network for Bergen Brunswig, a legacy company of AmerisourceBergen. Quick also has established partnerships between Good Neighbor Pharmacy and several university pharmacy programs.
“Mike will help Good Neighbor Pharmacy carry on our mission of supporting entrepreneurial pharmacy ownership," GNP president Mike Cantrell said. "His relationships with our current members and his work with pharmacy schools will foster an atmosphere conducive to independent pharmacy ownership."
