'Life...supplemented' rolls out America’s Wellness Challenge
WASHINGTON The “Life...supplemented” consumer wellness initiative, sponsored by the Council for Responsible Nutrition, last week introduced America’s Wellness Challenge — three promotions over the next five months — created to incentivize Americans to get serious about their health goals in 2010.
“The goal of America’s Wellness Challenge is to motivate people to change their wellness habits, which can be difficult,” stated William Cooper, medical director of cardiovascular surgery at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and an advisor to the “Life...supplemented” campaign. “What makes our Challenge different is how engaging it is and the number of ways people can get involved. It’s always important to focus on improving your health — but now you have the chance to win money doing it.”
The America’s Wellness Challenge Sweepstakes will run through Feb. 28, featuring a $15,000 sweepstakes prize. People can enter the sweepstakes online at www.lifesupplemented.org through a two-part registration process that includes taking My Wellness Scorecard, a fast, a free online quiz that assesses wellness across three pillars of health — healthy diet, supplements and exercise.
Additionally, an important component of America’s Wellness Challenge and within the entire “Life...supplemented” campaign is urging consumers to participate in online social networks that focus on wellness. Consumers can get updates on “Life...supplemented” and America’s Wellness Challenge via Twitter (@wannaBwell) and Facebook.
