iHealth features healthcare docking station for Apple enthusiasts
HARRISBURG, Pa. — iHealth, the blood-pressure monitor for the tech-savvy iPad user, is featured here on a Target shelf in central Pennsylvania. Just down the street is a Best Buy, where a technophile-friendly healthcare device like this may also gain traction.
While Apple provides no download numbers, the Apple App Store features more than 6,000 health related applications, according to an analysis from MobileHealthNews.com. Based on growth trends, MobileHealthNews.com estimates by August 2012 there will be more than 13,000 iPhone health apps available for consumers.
Tablet-friendly blood-pressure monitors may not just be for technophiles before too long.
