Drug Store News introduces new digital app

Drug Store News has introduced a new app for print subscribers to DSN magazine: DSN+.

Available for free download at the Apple Store, DSN+ turns a page of Drug Store News into an interactive experience, linking readers seamlessly from print to digital, as quickly and easily as it is to take a picture with a smartphone.

How does it work?

First, go to the Apple Store and download our DSN+ app — it’s absolutely free.

Second, open the app, and as you’re reading an issue of DSN, look for the DSN+ logo (pictured here). Wherever you see this logo, that means the page you’re looking at is linked to premium, multimedia content online. It could be a video on DSN.TV; it could be an audio Q&A with one of our reporters on DrugStoreNews.com, or it could be photos from a hot new store opening or other event. DSN+ works on articles, photos and ads that appear in the magazine.

Just hold your mobile device a few inches from the page and scan the item like you would scan a QR code, and that’s it — within seconds you’ll be linked to special, bonus content online. No more retyping long URL addresses or having to remember to log on to the site later.

How am I supposed to scan it with my mobile device, when I am reading the article on my mobile device? Your app is great idea if you have multiple Apple devices, but not if you use other devices. Apple is popular, but not everyone can afford them, especially if your only income is a pharmacy tech position.

Like all drugs that fall into the athletic regulations, you must be careful IF you are a potential testable / world class athlete. Your doctor should be provided with the list of approved and non approved rugs so that they can utilize the correct drug IF you are in that level of competition.

The mere fact that drug 'A' is both a legitimate prescribed medicine, and used for medical purposes, should not become an issue until you morph to a testable athlete. At that point you will need to have your doctor find an acceptable alternative. You will want it well out of your system before you are ever tested. Thanks.

It is just a good software for smartphones. There is a scan system and we will just find the information about the topic with a snap of the article page. It is easy to just snap the logo and we are in to the various articles that have been posted. It is really a good technological invention for the individuals.
